In the world of Terraria, the Mage class is the ultimate "glass cannon." It' s a high-risk, high-reward playstyle centered around devastating area-of-effect (AoE) damage, complex weapon mechanics, and a constant thirst for Mana. Almost every weapon drains your Mana pool. Once it hits zero, you're defenseless until it regenerates or you chug a potion. The Mage class arguably has the most creative arsenal in the game.
