This Ice Cream maker grabbed my attention because it seemed like it would be mess free. My husband didn't see how it would actually make ice cream with no ice to freeze the custard. He was right...the gel in the middle of the pan melted within 40 minutes and the soft serve ice cream that was forming in 30 minutes melted back to mere custard again.
