In this lecture you can learn about Caesar cipher and how to crack Caesar cipher with frequency analysis. This is a relatively simple cracking algorithm - of course because the Caesar cipher is a simple cryptosystem as well.
We just have to count the relative frequency of letters in the cipher text. We know the frequency of letters in a given alphabet. So this is what we can exploit - it is called information leaking.
