HW talks about two very misunderstood Kemper controls, the clean sense and the distortion sense parameters. It's not an input gain control, instead the clean sense can be used to balance the volume of clean profiles with more distorted profiles. The distortion sense is a global distortion offset that can be used to adjust the amount of breakup across the Kemper when moving between higher and lower output.
