using ffmpeg to draw a grid on your video
Some people use this command if they are putting a graph on their video. Or you may want to play the video with gridlines on it to work out placement of things you want to overlay on your video, or see if things are centered... you could also make a simple frame if you wanted. There's probably other things I haven't thought of. The first link is the documentation, the second link shows a script you can write to make this command more useful for you.
