In many cases, the Zero 2 W can be used as a drop-in replacement for the Zero W and when doing so it will greatly speed up the host application. It is about 5 times as fast as a Zero W. According to Raspberry Pi, the Zero 2W has about 85% of the performance of a Raspberry Pi 3.
