First up, I apologize for my dangling hair. Feel free to hit me hard in the comments.

Among the questions Tesla answered today are:

When will Tesla Model Y be Built ?
When Is Tesla Model Y Coming ?
When is Tesla Model Y Available ?
Tesla Model Y Black Wheels ?
Tesla Model Y Wheel Options ?
Tesla Model Y New Wheels ?
Tesla Model Y Range ?
Tesla Model Y EPA Range ?
Tesla Model Y Range km ?
Tesla Model Y Long Range ?
Model Y Delivery Date ?
Tesla Model Y Release Date ?
Tesla Model Y Delivery Date ?
Tesla Model Y Estimated Delivery ?
And MUCH more.

According to the Q4 report, Model Y production ramp began in January, ahead of schedule.

The Tesla Model Y website in the US official says that “First deliveries begin in March 2020”. Model Y deliveries in Canada will happen mid-2020.

Next, the Model Y Range has increased drastically since the announcement.

You’ll notice that the Long range Tesla Model Y RWD is no longer an option on the website to order. Not sure what will happen to customers who pre-ordered that.

The price of the AWD Model Y has gone up again by $990. So The Long Range AWD is now $52,990, and the Performance actually went down to $60,990 from $61,000. So good news! $10 off.

Previously, the RWD LR was 300 miles or 483 Km, and the AWD LR was 280 miles or 451km. Now the LR AWD and performance will get a massive 315 miles or 507km. This is only 7 miles less than then Model 3 LR AWD, and I’m so excited.

Thank you commenters who encouraged me to switch to the AWD. It looks like it was definitely a good decision. 35 more miles than they announced in the LR AWD! Incredible. 315 is amazing, and I’m so excited about that.

The standard Tesla Model Y wheels are now the 19” Gemini wheels. Then for an extra $2000, you can get the 20” induction wheels.

Then, if you go for the performance Model Y WITH the upgrade package, optional, and free, which is interesting, your range will decrease by about 35 miles or 56km, down to the announced 280. But in turn, you’ll receive a top speed of 155mph (250km/h) instead of 145mph (233km/h), the 21” uberturbine wheels, performance brakes, lowered suspension, and aluminum alloy pedals.

The Model Y Seven Seater will be available in 2021.

The Full self-driving page has unfortunately been updated to look like the Model 3 page, so it now says “coming later this year” Recognize and respond to traffic lights and stop signs and automatic driving on city streets.

Other than that, we’re still waiting to hear about safety on the Model Y.

Overall I’m very excited about all of these Model Y updates. Basically, all the rumors were true besides people running with the idea that Canadian deliveries would be first.

It still remains to be seen what exactly will happen for people who ordered the LR RWD. Hopefully, Tesla fulfills those orders, and then just stops producing it because the range of the AWD is so good? Not really sure, but it would definitely suck for people who ordered the RWD if they not are forced to upgrade AWD for $4990 more, or downgrade to the standard range which now says early 2021 for production.

In any case, great updates today from Tesla on the Model Y, and we’re a little over a month away from when we should see first deliveries. So hopefully I get mine in April or may to be conservative? We’ll see. I’ll definitely keep you posted on the entire process of getting my Model Y, so make sure you’re subscribed to this channel to stay up to date on everything Model Y related. I’ll be making a ton of videos of the car once I get mine.
