Greetings everyone and welcome to the finale of my 100% Playthrough of X's story in Mega Man X4 (PSX). Last time, I finished off the Maverick bosses and had my final showdowns with Colonel and General. I also had to deal with some in-house betrayal from Double who had been sent as a spy since the beginning. However, the threat is not over. Sigma has appeared and taken control of the Final Weapon. He intends to fire it at Earth! We have to stop him!
The story of Mega Man X4 revolves around the peacekeeper army known as Repliforce. In the Prologue, a flying fortress known as the Sky Lagoon falls and destroys a major city. Repliforce is accused of orchestrating the incident and are all subsequently labeled as Mavericks by the Maverick Hunters. In response, General, leader of the Repliforce, announces that Repliforce shall emancipate itself from human governance and create a utopia in space only for Reploids. X, Zero, and the other Maverick Hunters are tasked with stopping Repliforce's emancipation activities and bringing them to justice. However, X and Zero unearth the conspiracy that ultimately led to Repliforce's coup and drives them into a direct conflict with an old foe.
