Hello Everyone, nice to see you all here once again.
Welcome to "The KITSUNE Tape"
This is an audio cassette i made back in 2019 out of my all-time favorite electronic album to date…
Kitsune' s legendary smash hit "Squaredance".

Ya kno, "Rock My Emotions", "Avast Your Ass", "Rainbow Tylenol". Ring any bells?
If not I honestly feel bad for you, you were missing out, majorly. So for all of yas who wasn't around for it back in the day, i present you with an opportunity to hear those everlasting hits, along side many other absolutely fabulous tracks that, for the most part, were cast to the sidelines and forgotten.
Incase you didn't know, the above mentioned three singles were very big amongst the YTP community, and most people never looked beyond the memes, sad really.

"Super Mario Tylenol" by 'LightningWolf3" was how i was introduced, tracked down the original, and 9 year old me was then completely floored by this totally radical take on such an otherwise familiar and welcomed style of sound, I was immediately in love.
This is the utter perfection of, and is one of the finest examples of Chiptune Sampling the world has ever seen.
Left such an impression on me as a kid that i still happily rip it over a decade later, and I enjoy it just as much every single time.

Anyway, the reason your hearing this from my tape is not by choice in this case. The original digital project files were all but lost in a massive hard disc crash that happened a while back, leaving this to be the only remaining copy of my mix in existence. Technically a couple of my best friends have a much higher quality tape i made later with a better deck, but I'm pretty sure that was unfortunately lost along the way aswell.
Hell, i thought it was truly all lost until i found my original, jammed under the seat of my Corolla Classic, its case shattered and crushed by the rails. However with a lot of gentle ironing and a transfer to an empty case, it played once more. This was then carefully recorded back multiple times over and remastered in full surround with the finest equipment in my collection. While I am amazed at what i was able to recover, DO keep in mind that i am no professional and the deck this was originally recorded with was garbage in comparison to my current 1994 Golden Badge Onkyo TA-RW313. In other words I apologize in advance if its nothing but shrill and awful, tho i did try my best with the extremely limited fidelital and dynamic range left on this crumpled, distorted, drop-out ridden tape.
Seriously, yas shoulda heard this wen i first played it back. It was hilariously bad.
But those frequencies pulled through, battered, beaten, and buried, but still there, hidden deep under the surface of this old Ferric Oxide.

Either way, I hope you all enjoy my lithe nostalgia trip as much as i did while i was makin it, and thanks for droppin by.

Happy Listening!!!

Sad i gotta even mention this, but please send any and all proceeds to the original artist Kitsune^2.
I only made the tape and this full surround remastering of said tape, not the music.
