Is Spotify STEALING From Independent Artists in 2024?
What do you think of this move by Spotify?
Spotify will reportedly change how artists are paid starting in 2024:
• New threshold of minimum annual streams that a track must reach before it generates royalties.
• Penalties for labels when fraudulent activity is detected.
• Minimum play length on non-music noise tracks, such as white noise, before they generate royalties.
Is Spotify stealing from independent artists or could this end up being a good thing?
