Toxicologist William Sawyer discusses the evidence he has collected and analyzed on the impact of the BP oil spill on human health. Mr. Sawyer recounts the presence of a higher level of probable human carcinogens in this spill to which relief workers and others were exposed both through inhilation and through the skin. Mr. Sawyer comments on how cleanup crews working without the proper gear or clothing could face serious health consequences through their exposure in the form of cancer, birth defects in children and other chromosomal abnormalities.
