MIDI System Exclusive basics - Part 1 Hexadecimal
This is the first part of a multi-part tutorial series discussing the basics of System Exclusive messages. This part covers how to understand and calculate Hexadecimal - a base-16 couting system.
I am using MIDIQuest Essentials to display the MIDI messages, a Roland A-500 PRO MIDI controller and software, the Roland JD-XI MIDI implementation manual and a Mac OSX system calculator.
