Yes. This is all of something I searched for on eBay, bought and shot a video about.
The little meter works just fine after installing a new battery. (Or, more accurately, a 2009-era battery pilfered from a smoke detector at the Keykeeper's house. Yes, I put a brand new battery in the smoke detector afterwards.)
