How Water Tanks Work - Helix Water District
This presentation by Helix Water District explains why tanks are critical to keeping the water flowing for 277,000 people every day, and how our water distribution system works. We explain how we move water in our simple gravity-fed systems and expand to the complex water delivery system we manage, containing 33 pressure zones, 25 tanks and 25 pump stations. We also shared stories about some of the more memorable tanks in our community, including the Fletcher Hills Combo tank near Grossmont College and State Route 125.
