Abstract:

The integration of electronic components with microcontrollers like Arduino has revolutionized various domains, including voting systems. This abstract introduces an electronic voting machine (EVM) prototype built using Arduino, LCD, push buttons, LED indicators, and a buzzer.

The EVM aims to provide a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly platform for conducting electronic voting processes. It consists of a user interface comprising push buttons and an LCD screen for voter interaction. LED indicators and a buzzer provide feedback to the users throughout the voting process.

The Arduino microcontroller serves as the central processing unit, managing input from the push buttons, displaying information on the LCD screen, and controlling the LED indicators and buzzer based on user interactions.

The LCD screen displays relevant information such as candidate names, voting status, and confirmation messages. Push buttons allow voters to select their preferred candidates, with LED indicators providing visual confirmation of the selected choice. A buzzer provides an audible signal to indicate successful voting or any errors encountered during the process.

This EVM prototype demonstrates the feasibility of using Arduino-based systems for electronic voting, offering advantages such as scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. Future iterations could incorporate additional features for enhanced security, accessibility, and reliability, making electronic voting more accessible and trustworthy in various settings.
