With version 1.0.1, MonoPlay introduces the Microtuning Helper, a powerful new feature designed for fine-tuning and experimental sound design. A new Tuning CV output allows you to assign custom values to each note in an octave, giving you flexible control over pitch deviations for microtonal music and creative modulation.
Key Features:
Per-Note Tuning Control – Assign values between -100 and 100 cents to individual notes.
Hold Mode – Sustain the last tuning value after note release, perfect for microtuning applications.
Tuning Output Multiplier – Scale the CV output to match different instrument pitch ranges.
Flexible Application – While designed for microtuning, this output can also be used creatively for other modulation tasks.
How It Works
Activate the Microtuning Helper via a dedicated button on MonoPlay’s front panel. Configure tuning values per note or use the gear menu to load presets and apply random tunings. Easily integrate microtonal control with Reason’s synths by connecting the Tuning CV output to a synth’s Pitch Bend input, making instruments like Europa microtonally responsive.
Additionally, the Set Reference Note function ensures your tuning adjustments remain aligned with standard pitch references, allowing seamless integration with other instruments.
