Once you have calibrated your hand grinder than you would simply count the clicks easy time you open the grinder coarse to keep track of your settings. For instance you may know your V60 setting is 4 clicks from 0, where as your ideal aeropress grind is 7 clicks from 0.
All hand grinders will differ in the clicks and their ability to grind.
Finding the 0 point is the same 0 point for every grinder though.
