We decided to hike Mount Marcy in Adirondacks, so our friend could experience the highest mountain in NY. Hiking in adirondacks in the winter time is no joke.
It was way colder than we have anticipated but worth every second of it.
Almost 25 km in the woods with very decent elevation gain made us be in the woods for over 9 hours.
Mount Marcy was our first high peak in Adirondacks, which eventually made us hooked on hiking.
We became 46ers a year later.
