As developers, we are constantly, either conscious or by chance making decisions that shape the lives of people around us and all across the globe. We can‘t always guarantee, that these impacts have a positive impact, or at times some of us actively choose to impact in negative ways. How can we as developers use our position of power and the tools we are given to further an ethical way of treating the people that use our services and products? I‘ll try to explain the moral dilemma that is web-development and explain the idea of an ethical way of designing websites and services.
