Comparisons:
● Glidecam VS Monocam - These are the best two on the market as far as I know.
The Glidecam flies very well but has a ton of build quality issues, mine is already a little broken. The Monocam is really fantastic too, but without any major build quality issues. They fly about the same weight and fly about the same, but I find the glidecam a little easier to aim and easier to tilt. You may get improved performance from the Monocam by washing out the oil in the gimbal and replacing it with PTFE spray (not grease) lubricant.
● Laing - Very nice but now that the Monocam has been released, that's what I'd go with.
● Wieldy - Once the Laing was released there was no much point getting this, as the Laing has a lot of improvements, and now the MonoCam has improvements over the Laing.
● Xcam - Nice super compact stabilizer, great if you need one that can basically fit in a lens compartment, but not as good as the Glidecam or Monocam.
● Wondlan - High quality but I've not used it enough to say conclusively. At this price the Glidecam or Monocam would be my choice.
● Steadicam Merlin - Expensive and extremely hard to balance and control. They have various other units that are also expensive.
