Let us all remember that we are in the most holy presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We offer you thanks as we gather here today at long last to commemorate the high school journey of the graduating batch of 2020. While today may be a day of thanksgiving, we may struggle to feel like it is. Our batch is often heralded as the first and most unique to be doing this during such a historic moment in time, but it can be hard not to feel like this is more of an abrupt ending rather than a fruitful beginning, especially now with all of the uncertainty, the cancellations, and the changes in plan. But in spite of all of the challenges that we have faced, we have overcome them all to get here. And as such, we are reminded, Lord, that despite all this, there is still so much that remains to be grateful for. We thank you, Lord, for the gift of our parents, who tirelessly supported us throughout our entire lives above and beyond what they could give us. We thank you for the gift of our teachers, our mentors who nurtured our gifts and without whom our efforts would have amounted to nothing. We also offer thanks today Lord, for the friends we made along the way, with whom we have made countless memories and forged meaningful relationships that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives. And lastly, we also offer thanks, Lord, for ourselves: for the time we were able to spend finding ourselves at DLSU that we can continue to look back on and cherish. As we move on to this next big and exciting stage in our lives, may you continue to bless us, Lord, with strength, courage, wisdom, hope, and love, to be able to both appreciate how far we have come already, as well as to face the challenges that the present time demands of us head-on. And Lord, finally, even as we go forth on our own individual paths and continue to grow to reach new heights, grant that we may always look back to where we came from, to the soil where we first bloomed. Amen.

Our Lasallian Prayer.

I will continue, O My God, to do all my actions for the love of you.

St. John Baptist de la Salle. Pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts. Forever.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
