Making a shadow box is a great way to stretch your design skills and is an excellent beginner woodworking project.
In a recent episode of A Craftsman's Legacy, I learned how to make an El Capitan streamer for fly fishing. Since shadow boxes are often used to display special artifacts of your life, I felt it would be a fun way to appreciate the beauty of my first "fly" year-round. The design also allows me the ability to remove the El Capitan and fish it!
