Welcome back to my channel, and a big warm welcome if this is your first time! This video I'm looking at #watercolor #painting on hot pressed paper, or smooth surface.
This week's video is one of those experiment type paintings, you know the ones where you don't really know what you can expect, because I usually use cold pressed or medium grain paper foe me hp is still new territory for me but because of the smooth surface you can use more details within your painting certainly more that what I usually do on cp paper. I want to see how easy the pigment lifts from off the surface and also how the pigments mix together on the surface of the paper.
Which paper do you prefer to use hp cp or rough paper in your watercolour painting projects or does it all depend on what subject you paint?
