How to fix Can't write to C drive Program Files in Windows 7: 'Error opening file for writing' - installing Application setup. When i am installing the application using the setup file, i encountered an error 'Can't write to C drive program files' or Opening file for writing.
How to fix: Locate the Application Folder in the C:\Program Files, Right click the folder and choose properties. From the properties Window go to security tab and assign Write permission for PC Users.
