What Kind of Fool Am I - Bill Evans Style
First, I have two different soundtracks of this performance on my website www.7notemode.com Both are available for download. The soundtrack on this video is the Galaxy Vintage D piano. I also have a rendering of the same midi file using Ivory II Steinway digital piano. It makes for an interesting comparison -- kind of a real world example of how these digital pianos can be used with various plug in's to give them a specific character. I tried to give the VinD a sound similar to Bill Evans piano, which is a vintage sound -- very mid-rangy and lively. The VinD takes to that sound really well. The Ivory is a more classical sound with the mic's more distant with more hall sound.
The piece follows a Bill Evans style without a lot of note copying. I enjoy playing this piece. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for listening!
