2024 Cupra Formentor - In this video, we take a closer look at the upcoming restyling of the Cupra Formentor. Cupra, which branched off from Seat in 2018, made a big splash with the release of its first standalone model, the Formentor, in 2020. Now, as the company shifts its focus toward electric models, it's time for the Formentor to receive a facelift.
Based on recent sightings and the "Unstoppable Impulse" event in June 2022, the Cupra Formentor is expected to receive significant changes in both aesthetics and technology. The front grille will take inspiration from the Cupra Tavascan and feature a new square shape and LED headlights with three triangular elements. The interior could also receive a new infotainment screen and Alcantara upholstery options.
The restyling may also include changes to the powertrain. While the 190, 245, and 310-hp 2.0-liter engines are expected to remain unchanged, the 150-horsepower 1.5-liter TSI gasoline engines could become mild hybrids. Plug-in hybrids may also receive a larger battery, which could impact overall power and electric range.
The official unveiling of the Cupra Formentor restyling is expected by the end of 2023, with a possible debut in dealerships in spring 2024. Additionally, Cupra is reportedly considering entering the US market.
