1E Pathfinder Druid Guide - What Wild Shape does
As the Druid steeps themselves further into nature magics, they unlock the ability to reshape their form into that of wild animals they have familiarity with. In doing so, they gain many of the abilities of the creature they transform into and can maintain such a form for hours at a time.
As they advance, they learn to take the shape of an ever increasing variety of animals, of a wider range of sizes, capabilities and lethality.
To call them a force of nature would not be out of place, given their incredible spellcasting prowess and the potential of bringing an animal companion on the trail with their adventuring party.
