When was Jesus Christ actually born?
The Bible doesn't give the exact date of Jesus' birth.
December 25th is a church tradition that
emerged centuries later.
The Gospels say that shepherds spent the night in the fields, guarding their flocks.
This wasn't done in the Judean winter—it was cold and rainy.
Also, the Roman census was conducted during the warmer months, not in winter.
Many theologians believe that Jesus
was born in the fall or spring,
perhaps in September or early spring.
But the date isn't the important thing.
The important thing is that God became man,
Light came into the world,
and the Savior was born for our
salvation.
