Welcome back to Part 2 of Setting up Pinterest for Business, in today’s video we’ll go over Settings, finding Pins to save and people to follow. Let’s get started.

Hover over your profile picture on the top right corner to reveal a drop down menu and click on Settings. Here you will see your Business Account Basics like your email address, password, business type, contact name, etc.

Towards the bottom you have the Search Privacy button which allows search engines to find your profile whenever someone makes a search.

Under that you have Personalization settings which, if you allow it, will use sites you visit to improve Pinterest’s suggestions and ads. At the bottom here you have the option to clear your recent Pinterest searches. Lastly you have the deactivate your account button.

If you continue scrolling you will notice that we have moved down the list to Profile, so you can either click directly on the Setting or scroll down to find it. We’ve already filled out Profile so we’ll move on to Notifications.

Pinterest will always let you know of important changes but, you can choose to get notifications from only people you follow or from everyone. You can choose to get email notifications for everything, or choose individually, or turn off emails completely.

Next you have the push notification settings button, where you can pick and choose what notifications to get on your phone. For these settings to work you will need to have the Pinterest App installed on your phone.

Lastly you have Desktop notifications, which only applies to the Chrome browser but if turned on, a notification banner will appear on the top right corner here.

Moving on you have the Home feed settings with the Picked for you button, having this on will show you suggested Pins, at the top of your feed, based on your Pinterest activity.

Under that you have the option to connect your account to a variety of social networks. When, and if you decide to connect and authorize any of these, you’ll have access to friends and be able to post across platforms.

Lastly we have Apps Settings, which we’ll get into later. Let’s save our settings and get back to our profile, so we can start filling out this board here. Click up here to do a search for your board’s name. Then, find something you like in the results and click Save. This will pop open a window that will let you add text to the Pin and then choose one of your a boards to save it to.

In your searches, you will most likely find a pin that catches your attention so much you’ll want to see what else this profile has pinned. You can do that by clicking on the account name, in this case Tastemade. Once you’re there you might find a lot of boards you want to follow, which you can do individually or you can simply follow the entire profile and you’ll automatically become a follower of all its boards.

Thanks for watching and move on to Part 3 of this video series where we will go over Pinterest Analytics and Ad Campaigns.
