Google's Chrome browser's "Zoom" feature does not function properly on some site's body (content) text (Apple's Safari browser fails similarly). In these cases, while zooming DOES change the size of a page's graphic elements (i.e., tabs, frames, etc.), it has no effect on the text size. This presents a significant adversity for viewers with poor or aging eyesight.
This video shows the difference between Chrome's faulty Zoom feature and Firefox's fully operation Zoom feature. My use of the U.S. CERT page illustrates the potential magnitude of the consequences of this failure, esp. as it relates to computer security for vision-impaired users. This impediment is an issue that could affect the entire online community by raising the statistical likelihood of unintentional or uninformed malware distribution.
