Extension and Retraction System of Aircraft
This video describes aircraft landing gear retraction and extension mechanism. Landing gear is designed to support the load of the aircraft for either takeoff or landing. several types exist, designed for the intended operation or desires performance . Normally aircraft Landing Gear System has three wheels configuration. If third wheel is located on the tail (Tail Wheel) then the configuration is called as conventional gear system. But if third wheel is located on the nose (Nose Wheel) then it is called as tricycle gear system.
