In this video I show how to quickly and easily troubleshoot a redarc isolator. The 3 lights error code indicates an internal fault or too high voltage across the terminals (in the video I say just "too high voltage"; my mistake). A high voltage across the terminals would be if there is too much current flow.
By attempting to manually close the solenoid in the redarc (with the control wire) this will check to see if its really an internal fault or not. In this case, it was.
Note that a 2 light sequence would indicate overvoltage of the device, which is not a fault. Only the 3 light sequence is the "fault" sequence.
