Using AI to Streamline Data Analysis
Using Artificial intelligence (AI) to take a first pass at data analysis by flagging items of interest enables fewer people to focus on the anomalies and information that is most important. EPRI piloted this technique in a nuclear power plant with data from a reactor vessel head inspection. The technique was able to reduce the amount of data to be reviewed from 4.4 miles down to just over 400 feet and reduce effort required from seven people over four days to one person in four hours.
