Yes, my end game weapon was a Kitchen Knife, it did 700 odd damage every hit, was easy to upgrade. Did roughly 3x the DPS of a standard gun, and twice the damage of a frag grenade, I had a legendary katana that had 20 points lower of DPS but required epic grade crafting items to upgrade, (and I didn't know about the grenade method of generating epic crafting components as this was done during a blind run, granted this is a re-recording for demonstration purposes)
