How to disassemble the steering rack on a VW Sharan MK1
Friends! In this video, I tried to explain how to disassemble the steering rack myself, inspect it for defects, and replace worn parts. I missed the part about removing the inner thrust seal, which I removed with a collet. I'm currently looking for information about the needle bearing that fell apart. It looks like it was located inside the seal behind the retaining ring. I've never encountered such design solutions before, and I'll likely abandon it during installation.
