Apple M1 vs M2 Minecraft Performance Tests - 1.19 Native ARM Testing

I love to play Minecraft on Macs. I've also been testing Minecraft's performance on Apple silicon since the M1 chips was first launched. Now I have access to an M1 Max and also an M2 Mac, and Mojang updated Minecraft in 1.19 to support ARM (Apple silicon) natively.

I was curious about what performance gains this native ARM support has in-game in real-world benchmarks across the M1 and M2 Macs, so put them to the test.

Specifics about the tests:
Used the native launcher running 1.19.2
Tested at a resolution of 2560x1600, the native fullscreen resolution of the 13/14" MacBook screens
Set all video settings to maximum, with render and simulation distance both set to 12 chunks.
Tested in a brand new empty single-player world (seed: m2macbooktest), and also in a heavily populated SMP server (NeueCraft)
Played for 15 mins in each world on each machine, taking readings every 30 seconds or so, that I averaged.
Performed the same tests both in vanilla Minecraft, then also with Optifine
The three machines I tested with were:
M1 MacBook Pro 2020, 8GB Ram, 4 performance and 4 efficiency CPU cores, 8-Core GPU.
M1 Max Mac Studio 2022, 64GB Ram, 8 performance and 2 efficiency CPU cores, 32-Core GPU.
M2 MacBook Air 2022, 16GB Ram, 4 performance and 4 efficiency CPU cores, 8-Core GPU.

I wish I had an M3 to test now they are out, alas I dont have access to one yet.
