The first sex scene in film's history was in the movie Seduction from 1929. Even though the camera mainly concentrated on the expression of actors and displayed the intercourse symbolically it was very controversial and the topic of many wild discussions.
The same director, Gustav Machaty, created an even more controversial movie just 3 years later - Ecstasy. This movie was condemned by the pope and banned by Hitler and Mussolini.
