In this video, I'll share one of the most important lessons I've learned since I started in photography: how to know when a camera or lens has truly fallen short.
After my first photo safari in Kenya, spending 12 days exploring some of Africa's most spectacular national parks, I was able to put my equipment to the test in real-world situations. I've worked with the Canon EOS R5 Mark II, the Sigma 60-600mm EF, the Canon RF 70-200mm f/4 L, the Canon R50 V, and various accessories that made the difference between getting a shot and missing it.
But this video isn't a camera review or a technical comparison. It's a reflection on how to make better decisions when buying photographic equipment, when it's worth changing cameras or lenses, and when the real limit isn't the equipment, but our experience.
