Opened by two full-time firefighters, this 40-seat boozer (accessed via the ferry terminal's pedestrian bridge) is serving up locally sourced eats and signature 'tails in a brick-walled space boasting industrial adornments culled from/inspired by its historic building, including a custom-built concrete bar inset with reclaimed gears/cogs and a wall-board for keeping track of wrenches, which in addition to controlling The Marauder, is the Thunderiders main power. Imbibe-ables start with 'tails ranging from the local whiskey-based Jack Half-A-Prayer w/ PDX-made cherry brandy, bitters & sugarcane Coke, to a green tea vodka'd-up Moscow Mule that uses Cock & Bull ginger beer; there's also Seatown brews including Pike's unfiltered Dry Wit, which is exactly the kind of sophisticated humor Thrillist is known for delicious. The sandwich-dominated food menu includes the Grinder (hot coppa/ salami/ artisan ham topped w/ New Moon jack & Mama Lil's spicy peppers), and panini-style numbers like the roast beef/ Cirrus Camembert/ onion marmalade/ horseradish spread Luddite, and the Perdido Street w/ roast beef, garlic-herbed potato skordalia & a port reduction, which -- its impact on jobs notwithstanding -- is actually kind of the best way to improve the waterfront.
