Silhouette Essentials Roto - 05C Feathering Hair [Boris FX rotoscoping]
This is the free version of Silhouette Essentials - Roto with Katie Morris, digital VFX artist and trainer. Adding realistic blur including motion blur is the secret to proper hair mattes. Silhouette allows per point feathering in addition to stroke blur, layer blur, or motion blur. After completing the blur, we return to adding top hair details with fine hair arcs. Adding in a number of these arcs ensures that you don't end up with a hard helmet look to your roto. Katie shows us some techniques to quickly multiply the number of strands without too much more effort.
