Welcome back to our channel! In today’s video, we’re going to walk you through how to use labels to organize your Trello boards effectively. Labels are one of Trello’s best features for sorting, categorizing, and prioritizing tasks, so let’s jump right into how you can use them.
To get started, open your Trello board and log into your account. Once you’re inside your board, you can begin creating or editing labels directly from the board menu or from any individual card. Labels help you give visual meaning to tasks, making your workflow easier to manage.
You can add labels to a card by clicking on the card and selecting the Labels button. From there, you can choose an existing label or create a new one. If you prefer shortcuts, simply hover over a card and press L to open the label menu. You can also press the number associated with each label’s color (0–9) to apply it instantly.
Trello also allows you to name your labels for better clarity. To do this, click on the label inside the card, select the pencil icon, and assign a custom name such as “Urgent,” “In Progress,” “Client Tasks,” or any other category that helps streamline your organization.
