Hello everyone, welcome to a new video on this channel. Today's video is a bit different to my other videos, where I'm testing around 20 of today's most played titles on a specific system. The video that you're seeing right now is my recommendation, my personal recommendation of 20 games that you can play all fine on the Intel HD 3000. For today's test, we're using a 13-inch Fujistu Lifebook.
You might have already seen my previous video of the Intel HD 3000 (I'm going to link that one in the top right corner now) where I tested 17 of the most played titles back in the day. But these games haven't been my personal suggestion to play on these ancient integrated graphics of February 2011. So I think today's video has got a reason for its existence. Yes, you heard that right. This one is already more than 11 years old.
Up ahead. Because a lot of people ask me this question almost every day. Valorant isn't going to run on the HD3000 anymore. Riot Games dropped Direct X10 support for Valorant more than a year ago. The Intel HD 3000 is a Direct X10 GPU no matter what Direct X version you're going to install on your system. It's simply impossible for these outdated graphics to read Direct X11 or even Direct X12 commands. So no matter what you're going to do, modern titles won't run on this GPU.
But let's come back to today's video. You might notice that the CPU temperature rose pretty high during testing. Temperatures of up to 90 °C are possible. That's not caused by a dusty case. In fact, there's no dust in it at all. It's simply caused by the fact that this case has got a pretty small form factor and the CPU thermal paste is completely hardened, but probably also pretty much non-existent due to 11 years of use. I'll have to replace the thermal paste very soon. I'm also going to do a video of the whole replacement.
However, the high temperature, to my surprise, didn't affect the performance that much. The CPU clock rate stayed pretty stable. So even if your HD 3000 is going to run at a lower temperature, don't expect any performance wonders.
So all in all, the HD3000 is obviously not a GPU that I'd recommend for gaming in 2022. But I hope that I made you realize what types of old-school games are playable. The 20 games in this video are all titles that I personally enjoyed playing a lot back when they were released. If you're still using the HD3000 in 2022, feel free to write a comment about your experience with this ancient 3D accelerator. I hope you're going to like this video. If you do, feel free to leave a like and consider subscribing to this channel. I'll hopefully see you all in the next one when we're probably testing more modern titles again. I'm also planning to do a game recommendation video for the HD 4000. However, that's it. I wish you all the best. Goodbye.
