Spring is here.
Everything looks calm. green and alive again.But for us, it feels like the clock is ticking.
Right now, the priority is spring cleaning, but on the land.
We’ll keep renovating inside the house, but first we need to get everything outside under control… and running smoothly before summer arrives.
Even last week, we had a few really hot days here in Portugal.There were already restrictions on using machinery because of the fire risk.
It was a good reminder, the seasons move fast.And if we want to stay ahead, the time to act is now.
So the focus is simple, clearing overgrowth, catching up in the garden, sorting irrigation before the dry months hit and getting all the seedlings we’ve been growing into the ground, while conditions are still on our side.
That’s what Back to Basics is about.
Working with the seasons.Being realistic about what needs doing.And slowly building a more independent life here in Portugal.
