YouTube & Patreon: What’s Changing
I’m excited to have the YouTube channel back, and I wanted to explain how things will be different this time around.
Some of my biggest and most time-consuming compilations will now be exclusive to Patreon.
In the past, I spent countless hours searching for footage, collecting clips, editing and putting these larger projects together for YouTube. While I genuinely enjoyed making them, the amount of time and effort involved eventually became difficult to sustain. I was putting so much time into these videos that, financially, I was effectively losing out. I wasn’t being paid for the countless hours I was putting in, and eventually I had to recognise that it wasn’t sustainable.
I’ve therefore decided to take a different approach. YouTube will be the place for regular, easier-to-produce compilations, while Patreon will be home to my bigger and more ambitious projects.
This means I can continue creating videos for YouTube and, most importantly, enjoy making them without the same pressure and workload I experienced before.
