Shorts 5 - 7.3L IDI Cold Start 1989 Ford F-350
Welcome! For some reason the Internet believes that you can't get an old IDI Diesel to cold start in a quick manner in cold weather. After fixing my glow system, I decided to put that idea to the test... Test was done before the sun rose with ambient temps at around 25F. I do say 29F in the video but when I checked weather data later it was more like 25F Keep in mind this test is done with the return system leaking a little fuel so some air had to be purged when I did this cranking. Even with that, I was pleased with the results.
