Don’t miss the chance to meet one of the coolest new projects in the AI ecosystem! Jina is an open-source search framework that allows you to handle multiple data types (i.e. text, image, audio, or video) for your neural search engine in a faster and simpler way.
In this talk, you will learn the basics of Jina, a walk-through of our hello-world example, where you will see how to create a neural-search engine for images using the Fashion-MNIST dataset, and how you can build your own search application with Jina. At the end, there will also be a Q&A session.
(About Jina)
Jina was first introduced to the public in May 2020 and is currently maintained by Jina AI, an open-source tech startup based in Berlin, Germany.
The company was founded in early 2020 by Dr. Han Xiao, who is also the creator of well-known open source projects: bert-as-a-service and fashion-MNIST that have inspired hundreds of tutorials, tools, papers and software. Before founding Jina AI, Han Xiao was the Engineering Lead at Tencent AI Lab.

Susana Guzmán is a Software & AI Engineer at Jina AI. She has great passion for AI technology and open-source software. Susana acquired her master degree in Media Informatics in 2016, at University of Bremen in Germany.
