Amy is a determined and compassionate young woman, deeply in love and committed to building a future with her boyfriend—who carries the heavy weight of untreated PTSD. At first, their relationship feels like something worth fighting for, but as his trauma resurfaces in increasingly dangerous ways, Amy is forced to confront a heartbreaking truth: love alone is not enough to heal someone.
Broken Minds is a raw and emotional exploration of what it means to love someone who is suffering. It tells the untold story of the silent battles fought by partners of those with mental illness—the sacrifices, the fear, the guilt, and ultimately, the strength it takes to choose yourself. Through Amy’s memories and therapy sessions, the film dives into themes of trauma, healing, and the painful act of letting go—not as abandonment, but as an act of love.
