Undiscovered Wasteland - A Short Composition
Hi there, I decided to compose something completely different.
I wanted to touch on the genre of horror. I used solo strings playing an awkward chord, while having some crazy sound design.
While we are talking about the sound design, I basically grabbed a sound from my friend, he was doing this "predator sound" one time in a call, and I asked him to record him doing that sound. Because I later learned that sound really unsettled people. So, I added a distortion plugin (Guitar Rig) and added a lot of reverb, ad a bit of delay, resulting in a warped and weird sound. I also downloaded a sound effect which was a cinematic boom. I used that to add extra boom to the bass drum, also reversing it to souble a timpani roll.
