Flying to Thailand in a pandemic was quite an experience… But was it worth it?
I don't normally make travel day vlogs, but this was too crazy not to film! In this video, you can follow us through the entire process of travelling to Thailand from the UK in 2022, including our stressful Thailand Pass Experience and the surreal Phuket Airport arrival.
International travel during pandemic was extremely difficult, but we never gave up on our dream of getting back to our favourite country... And finally in late 2021, Thailand launched the Test and Go scheme - which allows vaccinated tourists to arrive without quarantine and only testing on arrival.
But even then, flying to Thailand during the pandemic wasn’t easy. Just over a week later, Test and Go was cancelled and we had to change our plans to apply for something called the Phuket Sandbox instead.
The entire process for how to enter Thailand in 2022 is very confusing, and we basically had to do it twice! So, we know the whole Thailand Pass step by step very well - but be aware that everything is constantly changing, so make sure you do your own research before you fly (this video was filmed in January 2022).
