Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial : How to turn Videos into a Hologram
In this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial, we create Holograms by using video clips.
First we have to align the camera with our back plate (I'm using a still image but you could also use a video clip). Keep in mind if you use a video clip you may need to add a Set Alpha Node to add some transparency. (I do this at the end of the video).
Then we can add our movie clip or image sequence and then jump into the node editor to finish it off.
This technique is super simple and can be used to make a whole variety of holograms (stick around till the end to see a couple of variations). The Final Compositing is ultimately down to what you think looks good or what style you are trying to achieve.
